Feltmaking Basics (for beginners)

Anyone can make felt! Even if you are not “creative” or “artsy.” Felting is low-tech, non-toxic, and requires little equipment or space. Plus it’s really fun. Not only will you finish a project (instant gratification), you’ll have a great time.

Learn the basics of wet felting, including why and how wool felts with only fleece, soap and water. Experiment with mixing colors of fleece and making various thicknesses of felt.  Learn how to design and embellish the felt surface with yarn, curls, silk, and pre-felted wool.

You will complete several projects, including a three dimensional seamless bowl or purse.  After you learn Linda’s tried-and-true unconventional methods and shortcuts, you can make sculptural objects or beautiful felt yardage for pillows, blankets, vests, and more.

This 5-6 hour workshop is for beginners. Cost is $125, including all supplies.     sign up
